Book Group

Book group will be held on Wednesday, November 14, at 7:00pm at Janice Curran's home.  Her address is 2137 Stone Canyon Circle, in Stone Cliff.  The book is  An Invisible Thread: The true story of an 11-Year-Old Panhandler, a Busy Sales Executive, and an Unlikely Meeting with Destiny.  It should be a great discussion, so please join us!  (A summary of the book is provided in previous blog posts.)

November Cooking Group

Cooking group is on Wednesday, November 7, at 7:00pm at Jenie Rainey's house.  Her address is 1539 S. Cliff Point Drive, in Stone Cliff.  We are doing a "Frozen Cookie Dough Exchange", just in time for the holidays.  Here's how it will work:  Everyone will bring 5 dozen cookies that have not been cooked, but flash frozen (put on a cookie sheet when you scoop the dough out and quickly frozen for an hour or so) then put them in an air-tight container and bring them in a cooler to Jenie's that night.  She will have bags for us and we will label what they are and the baking instructions that night, so remember what degrees and how long your cookies need to cook.  Also, bring an extra dozen cooked for us to eat that night!  We should be able to come home with a great variety to have on hand during the holidays.  This is the last cooking group Jenie will have at her house before she moves, so let's all come and tell her goodbye.  Any questions, call her at 817-2792.

Ward Choir

With Christmas around the corner, it is time to get the ward choir going!  Practice will begin in Sunday, November 4, at 8:00pm and will be held at Launa Wyson's home:  1611 S. Agate Circle in Stone Cliff.**   Music is such a spiritually beautiful part of Christmas, so please join us in the choir to liven up your holiday season.  See you soon!

**(When you go through the guard gate, go halfway up the hill and take your first left, go to the end of the street and turn left again, then take one more "first left" turn onto Agate.  Go to the end of the culdesac and they are on the right with lots of lights on the front of the house.)

Stake Conference November 3-4

The Stake Presidency invites all to our upcoming Stake Conference on November 3 and 4.  We will receive instruction from Elder Von G. Keetch, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy, as well as the Stake Presidency and other members of our stake.  Music will be provided during the Saturday Adult Session by an outstanding male choir.  The Sunday Session will feature a wonderful Little Valley Stake Choir.  Please make attendance to the following sessions a priority:

November 3, 7:00pm - Adult Session at the River Road Stake Center
November 4, 7:00 am - Priesthood Leadership Session at the river Road Stake Center
November 4, 10:00am - General Session at the River Road Stake Center and broadcast live to:

• Rustic Drive Chapel
• Crimson Ridge Chapel
• Little Valley Chapel (2450 South)
