Ward Choir

Just another reminder about Ward Choir!  There is some AMAZING talent in this ward!  Please come add to it and be part of it!  Practices are held Sunday evenings at 8:00pm at Launa Wyson's home and last an hour.  It really is so much fun and brings the Spirit of Christmas in a special way.

**(When you go through the guard gate, go halfway up the hill and take your first left, go to the end of the street and turn left again, then take one more "first left" turn onto Agate.  Go to the end of the culdesac and they are on the right with lots of lights on the front of the house.)

December's Humanitarian Service Project

Hi, Sisters!
For our Humanitarian service project this Christmas season, we’re excited to help the Head Start program in St. George.  Head Start is free part-time preschool for low-income families in Washington County.  There are 11 sessions county-wide with 18 children age 3-4 in each class.  There are only 2 teachers for each session, so an extra pair of hands is always welcome for helping with an art project or reading a story.  We’re asking for volunteers to come for about an hour during the week of December 3-6.  If you have a good Christmas book to read to them, they’d love it!  A sign up sheet will be coming around.

There is also a great need for warm clothing and quilts for these children and their families.  If you have any items that are in good condition that you would like to donate to them, please bring them to our Relief  Society Christmas Social on Dec. 13th.  We will have a place to gather them at Christina Benson’s home, and then we will deliver them to Head Start, where they will be distributed to families in need.  Thanks so much for your help with this worthwhile cause!  For any questions call Patty Foote at 668-5324.

Legumes...er, Beans!!

Just to let you know.....We are having an expert on "Legumes" come to the church tomorrow night at 7:00 pm and teach us everything there is to know about BEANS!  We will have lots of samples and recipes and you will also have the opportunity to order many things at a discount rate. Then at a later date, we have reserved the dry pack canner to can our purchases.  Feel free to bring your husbands as it will be very informative.  See you there!
